We have spent the weekend recording the Vernon Building Society (Poynton) Brass Band at Great Moor Junior School in Stockport.
The band, long established as one of the north west’s premier ensembles, feature a number of solo items on this project in addition to ‘The Anson’, a newly commissioned piece of music written to celebrate the Anson Engine Museum which is based in Poynton and which houses a number of industrial engines many of which originated in the area.
The CD will be available in September and to learn more about the band visit their website at http://www.poyntonband.co.uk/
