Ian Cottier presents a popular hour long weekly brass band programme on the Isle of Man’s ‘Manx Radio’ and on the 10th of January his entire programme was taken up with tracks from the Wingates Band’s recently released CD, ‘Perspectives of Pretoria’.
Ten tracks from the disk are introduced in the programme and these include Lucy Pankhurst’s commissioned work ‘In Pitch Black’ in what Ian Cottier describes as “a Time for Brass tribute to miners everywhere”.
