Several anniversaries celebrated by Bolton Festival Choir and Orchestra

‘Bolton Festival Choir and Orchestra’ MHP 1409
We recorded the Anniversary Concert of the Bolton Festival Choir and Orchestra at Bolton Parish Church on Sunday 30th August. The event, conducted by John Powell, featured music in celebration of the anniversaries of Handel, Purcell, Haydn and Mendelssohn.
The highlight, for many, was a new composition by Martin Lessons entitled “Our Love Burns Still” and was commissioned by Elisabeth Tatman the chairman of the organisation to celebrate her and husband Michaels Golden Wedding.
The preparations for the concert were recorded and broadcast on Bolton FM radio and a double CD of the entire concert will be available shortly.
