“Shining Sword” MHP219 launched

Shining Sword The Band of The Household Cavalry recording

“Shining Sword” the CD recording by the Band of The Household Cavalry was officially launched on Thursday 27th June when the Band of The Household Cavalry  played at The Guards’ Chapel on Birdcage Walk in London. The concert of music by English composers was part of the Household Division Music Festival 2019.

The CD is the first recording by the Band for some ten years and features the premiere symphonic wind band recording of Edward Gregson’s ‘Variations on Laudate Dominum’. Additionally there are substantive works by English composers Philip Sparke and Nigel Hess
